Our verdict

WordPress.com suits bloggers and small businesses who want WordPress without handling servers, updates or security. It is a weak choice for people who want to install any plugin cheaply, since plugins start at the Business plan, 25 dollars a month on annual billing. The main drawback is that the cheaper plans are restricted and storage is small.

Renewal prices were still not readable on the pricing page on 2026-10-14 (the renewal line shows an unfilled template placeholder), and no other source states them, so renewMonthly is null. Data center locations were not found. The pricing page promises a no-questions-asked refund without a period; WordPress.com's live refund support page (read 2026-10-19) states 14 days for annual, 2-year and 3-year plans, 7 days for monthly plans and 96 hours for domains. The save percentages on the pricing page compare yearly and multi-year billing with monthly billing and are not a time-limited offer. Terms: prices per term come from the pricing page and match WordPress.com's public products API (public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1.1/products, read 2026-10-14: e.g. personal-bundle 48 per year, -2y 78, -3y 99, monthly 9). The API lists no introductory offer for these plans, so each term's renewal is recorded as the same price for that term; the plan-level renewMonthly stays null as before. Re-checked 2026-10-19: all 16 plan and term prices in the public products API are unchanged, the API still lists no introductory or sale price, and the pricing page renewal line is still an unfilled placeholder, so plan-level renewMonthly stays null. The pricing page shows no time-limited promotion; the Blaze advertising credit is a plan feature, not an offer. Re-checked 2026-10-26: all 16 plan and term prices in the public products API are unchanged and it lists no introductory or sale price, the pricing page renewal line is still an unfilled placeholder, the refunds page still states 14 days for annual and multi-year plans and 7 days for monthly plans, and no time-limited promotion is shown.
