Hetzner is a German provider with its own data centres in Falkenstein, Nuremberg and Helsinki, plus cloud sites in the US and Singapore. Its cloud servers come with 20 TB of traffic in Europe and are billed by the hour up to a monthly cap. Servers are self-managed, so there is no control panel or included backup.

Our verdict
A strong choice for developers who want a lot of server for little money in Europe and can manage Linux themselves. It is a poor fit for beginners, US or Asian audiences that need much traffic, and anyone who wants live chat. Prices rose twice in 2026, and on the check date its cloud product pages showed the server lines as currently unavailable.
