Our verdict

Namecheap suits beginners and small blogs that want the lowest three-year cost and cPanel. Busy sites and shops will want faster hosting with more resources. Independent tests show average speed, and the Stellar plan's renewal of $55.88 a year is more than double the intro rate.

namecheap.com returns HTTP 403 to plain fetches, so the plan page was read in a browser on 2026-10-14, USD, yearly billing. Renewal monthly figures are the yearly renewal prices from Namecheap's own May 2026 notice divided by 12. The page's comparison box shows $26.88 a year for Stellar while 12 x $2.28 is $27.36, so the exact first-year charge is uncertain. The EU data center city is not named. Trustpilot reviews cover Namecheap as a whole, mostly domains. Terms read on 2026-10-14: intro prices from the Monthly, Yearly and Bi-yearly toggle on the shared hosting page (in a browser), renewals from Namecheap's May 2026 notice (1 month $5.88/$7.88/$11.88, 1 year $55.88/$85.44/$128.88, 2 years $102.88/$146.44/$251.88), divided by 12 or 24 and rounded. The 15% renewal promotion is not included.
